Bad Times is a passion project with my good friend Peter Greenaway. We both worked in branding and wanted to build a streetwear brand that was refreshing for us. We made an “anti-brand.” We created roughly done designs, a message that embraces the bad things in life and pokes fun at brands taking themselves seriously. What made building this brand so refreshing for us as creatives is that the brand embraced being bad at its core, which is what made the brand actually good. We produced high-quality cut and sew garments, we threw banging parties and connected with the market. Since Bad Times launched in 2016, we’ve seen a trend in streetwear brands taking on we don’t give a shit about our shit, kind of attitude.
